FINNlog Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 23, 2026

FINNlog is a local-first browser extension that creates revision history for supported FINN listings. Torget tracking is free; supported real-estate tracking requires FINNlog Pro.

Information FINNlog handles

For supported listings, FINNlog processes listing-page information needed to identify an item, display its current details, and show changes over time. This may include the listing URL and identifier, descriptive content, prices, characteristics, status, approximate listing location, images, public engagement information, and timestamps. Under Chrome Web Store policy, this is website content and browsing activity.

Users may optionally add a personal comment to a tracked item. Comments are stored with that item only in the extension’s local database.

FINNlog is designed not to store seller or broker contact details, lead-generation information, precise coordinates, FINN account credentials, FINN cookies, or private messages as part of listing history.

When a user signs in for Pro, the FINNlog account service processes account and profile information provided through Google, authentication information, subscription and billing status provided through Stripe, and technical information needed to operate and secure the service. Technical information may include an installation identifier, public device-security information, IP address, browser user-agent, security events, and timestamps.

FINNlog does not receive Google passwords, payment-card numbers or security codes, or precise device location. Payment details are entered directly on Stripe’s hosted pages.

How information is used

Listing information is used only to create and display local snapshots, current details, revision history, comparisons, and optional comments. FINNlog processes a supported listing when the user visits it or explicitly requests a manual check. It does not schedule background monitoring or provide real-time change notifications.

Account, authentication, subscription, installation, and security information is used only to sign the user in, manage Pro access and billing, protect the service, and provide support.

Storage and retention

Listing URLs, identifiers, snapshots, revision history, comments, check results, and settings are stored in browser-managed storage under the extension’s local origin. The developer cannot access this local database through FINNlog.

A tracked item and its associated local data are automatically removed after 90 days without a successful visit or manual check. Users may also delete individual tracked items at any time. Uninstalling the extension removes its browser-managed local storage according to Chrome’s normal behavior.

Authentication and licence information is kept in protected extension storage for the duration needed to maintain a signed-in session. Information required to operate Pro accounts, subscriptions, registered installations, and service security is stored by the FINNlog account service.

Account and security records are retained while needed to provide and protect the service, resolve support or security issues, and meet legal or billing obligations. Stripe may retain billing records under its own policies and applicable law. Users may contact support to request private account deletion instructions.

Transmission and sharing

FINNlog does not send listing URLs, identifiers, page content, snapshots, history, images, or personal comments to the FINNlog account service. There is no listing cloud sync, shared listing database, analytics, or advertising.

The extension communicates with FINN as needed to provide its user-requested listing-tracking features. Listing images may be loaded directly from FINN’s image infrastructure. Those requests are subject to FINN’s own privacy practices.

Google processes information required for optional sign-in. Stripe processes information required for hosted Checkout, subscription management, and billing. These providers handle information under their respective privacy policies. FINNlog does not sell user information or share it for advertising, profiling, credit, or lending purposes.

Limited use

FINNlog uses handled information only to provide, maintain, secure, and support its disclosed listing-tracking and Pro account features. It does not use or transfer information for personalized advertising, unrelated profiling, credit decisions, lending, or other unrelated purposes.

Humans are not given access to locally stored listing history through FINNlog. Access to backend account and billing records is limited to what is necessary for service operation, support, security, legal compliance, or a user-authorized request.

Changes to this policy

If FINNlog’s data practices change, this policy and the extension’s disclosures will be updated before the changed behavior is introduced.
